The Art of Business and the Business of Art -- Oct. 19 and 20. Katherine T. Carter, nationally recognized arts advisor, trend-spotter and popular speaker, presents a two-day seminar at the Arts Center, 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg on "marketing and professional strategies of the professional artist." Fee is $125 for members and $140 for nonmembers. (727) 822-7872.

OUTDOOR -- Oct. 19. Tiffany Szilage hopes to build a new gallery on a site at 601 Ninth St. S, but for now, she's presenting a site-specific show for one evening on the lot. Artists represented include Ryan Arcieri, JSG Boggs, David Greg Harth, Pablo Helguera, Robert Lawrence, Jeannette Meentzen and SKI. The exhibition will show digital images of art work along with performance and installation pieces. 5:30 p.m. to midnight. (727) 896-5504.
