Magnet deadline's today for programs in fall 2003By Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published October 15, 2002 Today's the day. Tomorrow's too late. Applications for the Pinellas County School District's countywide magnet programs, fundamental schools and career academies are due today. They must be dropped off to the schools where a student is applying. They cannot be returned to district headquarters or to a Family Education and Information Center. This is the first major deadline as the district moves to a school choice program in fall 2003. All other choice applications, including declarations of intent for current students, are due Dec. 13. Applications for magnet and fundamental programs are available at school offices, family centers, district headquarters and on the Internet, www.pinellas.k12.fl.us. Follow links to the choice plan and then to magnet and fundamental schools. Applicants will find out whether they have been accepted or placed on a waiting list around Nov. 10. They must accept their invitation or waiting list position by Nov. 20. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • St. Petersburg Times
