Youth council picks new leaders

Chamberlain High's Katie West will lead the group, which organizes activities for local teens.

TOWN 'N COUNTRY -- The Town 'N Country Youth Council has elected officers for 2003.

Katie West of Chamberlain High School will serve as president of the council, which organizes activities for the area's teenagers. Shawn Johnston of Leto High School was elected vice president of membership, Leto's Jesus Gutierrez II will be vice president of free enterprise and Krista West of Stewart Middle School will serve as vice president of community service.

Other officers include:

Daniel Anderson, Alonso High School, Secretary; Thomas Coverson II, Young Middle School, Treasurer; Jennifer Vennett, Stewart Middle, Sergeant of Arms; Kelly Danielson, Alonso High, Historian.

Stephanie Curry, Leto High; Jarod Fischer, Middleton High; Amanda Lees, Jefferson High; Cassie Peters, Oldsmar Christian School; Lourdes Romero and Luis Romero, Webb Middle School; and Christina Smith, Farnell Middle School, will serve on the board of directors.
