Lovers of representational art will want to visit Brad Cooper Gallery, 1712 E Seventh Ave. in Ybor City, Tampa, where three practitioners of it will be on view beginning Saturday through Jan. 31. Willard Lustenader, subject of a one-man show at the gallery earlier this year, joins Gregory Schulte and Snowden Hodges, whose painting, Autumn Song, is shown above left. Also on view is a solo exhibition of ceramic vessels and functional pieces by Leland Shaw, professor emeritus at the University of Florida School of Architecture. The public is invited to the opening reception for both shows from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. (813) 248-6098.

Edgier art waits across town at Covivant Gallery, 4906 N Florida Ave., Tampa, with "Budget Thugs," a show open through Dec. 28 of mixed-media paintings, sculpture, installations and ceramics by emerging artists Brandon Dunlap, Jeff Vreeland and Tim Warner, whose mixed-media work, Urgent! Global Mind Conditioning . . ., is shown above right. The gallery also has a smaller exhibition, "By Default," of graffiti-based art by Books IIII. (813) 234-0222.
