WESLEY CHAPEL - A Pasco County Mosquito Control employee was charged with grand theft after a school district employee accused him of stealing a practice net from Wesley Chapel High School.

Kevin Hill, 46, of 5907 Franklin St. in New Port Richey was taken to the Land O'Lakes jail on Tuesday and was released after posting $2,000 bail.

Hill was arrested after a school district employee reported seeing Hill enter the athletic field complex at Wesley Chapel High School when school was not in session, according to a sheriff's report. The employee said Hill took a black rope net used for discus throwing practice.

Hill returned home with the net, valued at $300, and told authorities he took the net, according to the report.
