The Hernando County Salvation Army will distribute back-to-school supplies for low-income families from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday this week at the agency's headquarters, at 15464 Cortez Blvd., west of Brooksville.
Recipients must be Hernando County residents and the custodial parent or legal guardian of a student. Required documentation includes picture ID for all adults, birth certificates for all children, Social Security cards for all adults and children, and proof of income.
For income guidelines and information, call the Salvation Army at 796-1186. Also, Operation Backpack will distribute backpacks filled with school supplies from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Place, off Darby Lane, Brooksville.
The distribution will be for children ages 2 to 12. Supplies will be limited. For information, call JoAnn Munford at 544-5498.
