Back to School 2004

Registration

By Times Staff Writer
Published August 1, 2004

Parents of students entering the Hernando County public school system for the first time may register their children at the schools they will attend. To find out which school your child should attend, call 797-7003. To register, students need the following items:

A birth certificate for prekindergarten, kindergarten and first-grade students new to Florida who did not attend a kindergarten program in another state. A hospital record is not acceptable.

Proof that a physical examination has been performed within the past 12 months. The Hernando County Health Department performs physicals at its Brooksville and Spring Hill locations. Call 754-4067 for Brooksville and 688-5067 for Spring Hill.

Proof of residency, which can be a copy of your most recent utility bill.
