School uniforms

Nine of Hernando's 17 public schools require uniforms or a strict code of dress.

Here are those schools and their requirements:

BROOKSVILLE ELEMENTARY: Polo-type shirts of any solid color. Walking shorts, pants, jumpers, skirts or skirt/short hybrids called skorts in navy, khaki, black or hunter green.

CHOCACHATTI ELEMENTARY: Solid polo shirts in white, burgundy, sea green and navy. Navy cardigan sweaters are optional. Bottoms: navy or khaki V-neck jumpers, skorts, shorts or pants.

EASTSIDE ELEMENTARY: Polo shirts in any shade of purple, blue, green or white. Shorts, long pants, skirts, jumpers or skorts in navy blue, khaki or black.

J.D. FLOYD ELEMENTARY: Bottoms in navy blue or khaki. Tops in solid white, yellow or blue T-shirts or polo-type shirts with or without school logo.

MOTON ELEMENTARY: Pants, shorts, skorts, jumpers or dresses in khaki, blue or black. Solid-colored polo shirts, any color. Winter only, solid-colored sweaters or sweat shirts with uniform shirt underneath. Blue jeans allowed on Friday spirit days only.

PINE GROVE ELEMENTARY: Red, white or navy blue polo-type shirts. Pants, shorts, jumpers or skorts in khaki or navy. Logos are not allowed except for "Pine Grove" shirts.

SPRING HILL ELEMENTARY: Any solid-colored polo shirt with a collar. Slacks, shorts or skirts in navy, khaki or black. No jeans, sweats, cargo pants or corduroy pants allowed.

SUNCOAST ELEMENTARY: White, gray, teal or black collared polo shirt, sweater or sweat shirt. Black, navy or khaki pants, shorts, skorts or jumpers. No jeans or sweat pants.

PARROTT MIDDLE: Collared shirts or blouses in solid colors. Solid-colored pants or shorts.
