By Times Staff Writer
Published December 31, 2004
The Pasco County Health Department has received thousands of additional flu vaccine doses, and more are on the way for people at high risk.
About 6,500 adult doses and 5,700 doses for children are available through area physicians and the health department's five clinics, nursing director Carol Cummins said Thursday. She expects to receive 4,000 extra doses next month. Cummins said people age 65 or older, those with chronic health problems, health care professionals or children ages 6 months to 35 months should be vaccinated. Call your doctor or the health department for a flu shot appointment.
