Class act times five

The 5 Browns are classical music's latest celebrity act - piano-playing siblings from a Mormon family in Utah. And they have real talent. All of them studied at Juilliard, and now they tour a popular program that draws kids into the concert hall. Their CDs top the classical charts, and a music video features them playing Steinway grands on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Yes, they do play five pianos all at once in arrangements of Rhapsody in Blue, The Firebird and scenes from West Side Story. But the program also includes solos and duets, as well as contemporary pieces by Lowell Liebermann and Witold Lutoslawski. The Browns play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Ferguson Hall of Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. $29.50-$39.50. At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, they'll conduct a sound check/piano demonstration and hold a Q&A session at the hall, with people able to attend for $5.
