BOLDEN, ROSE MARIE C., 73, of Beverly Hills, died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) in Crystal River. Born in Detroit, she was a homemaker, charter member of Detroit Frogs MOCA 1, and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 7170 of Detroit. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Thomas, Michigan; five daughters, Sandra and Judith, both of Michigan, Andrea, Fort Myers, Michelle and Becky, both of Beverly Hills; a brother; three sisters; several nephews and nieces; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. BROKER, ANTOINETTE, 82, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (March 21, 2001) at home. Born in Bronx, N.Y., she came here eight years ago from Homosassa. She was a homemaker and attended the Berean Assembly. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Quercia, Brooksville, and Dorothy Broker, Spring Hill; and two grandchildren. CICHOWICZ, EDMUND, 77, of Homosassa, died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) in Tampa. Born in Warsaw, Poland, he came here 15 years ago from Chicago. He was a retired design engineer for General Electric Appliances, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Irene; three sons, Daniel, Morristown, Pa., David, Wheeling, Ill., and Edmund, Aiken, S.C.; his mother, Bernice, Homosassa; a brother, Roman, San Juan, Puerto Rice; and five grandchildren. KOVACS, JOSEPH J., 85, of Beverly Hills, died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) in Inverness. Born in Passaic, N.J., he came here 16 years ago from Blairstown, N.J. He was a retired sergeant with the Cranford, N.J., Police Department, and a member of the Cranford Police Benevolent Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cranford. He was Catholic. Survivors include his brother, Frank, Sacramento, Calif. THOMAS, BERNARD A. SR., 95, of Homosassa, died Wednesday (March 21, 2001) in Homosassa. He came here two months ago from his native Baltimore. He retired as a police officer with the Baltimore Police Department after 28 years of service. Survivors include two sons, Bernard A. Jr., Baltimore, and Douglas S., Crystal River; a brother, George, and two sisters, Catherine Evans and Mary Palewick, all of Baltimore; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. VUKELICH, ELIZABETH G., 60, of Inverness, died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in Rock Springs, Wyo., she came here three years ago from Fayetteville, N.C. She was a bank teller employed by BBT. She enjoyed literature, flower gardening and travel. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fayetteville, and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. NIELSEN, ALLAN, 80, of Spring Hill, died Sunday (March 18, 2001) at James A. Haley VA Hospital, Tampa. Born in Denmark, he came here 21 years ago from San Diego, Calif. He retired from the Navy, was a life member of Masons Plymouth Rock Lodge 47, Free and Accepted Masons, and a member of the USS Hornet Club, Florida. He was Protestant. ANDERSON, JOHN J. SR., 76, of Sarasota, formerly of Plant City, died Thursday (March 15, 2001) in Sarasota. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., he came to the Tampa area in 1992 before moving to Sarasota in 1997. He was a metal lather, a Navy veteran of World War II, he served as a minister at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in New York for 15 years, he was a member of Metal Lathers No. 46 in New York, he was on the 1952 Olympic Team for the two-man kayak at Helsinki, Finland, was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Clement Catholic Church. CATALA, ORLANDO P. SR., 73, of Tampa, died Saturday (March 17, 2001) at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Cuba, he came here in 1980 from Miami. He was retired from Stylecraft of Tampa after 10 years as a cabinetmaker and was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Candida; a daughter, Esther Andrea, Pompano Beach; two sons, Orlando P. HALL, LEE ANNA, 88, of Tampa, died Thursday (March 15, 2001) in Tampa. Born in Dublin, Ga., she was a lifelong resident of the Tampa area. She was a retired dietary aide for St. Joseph's Hospital and was a member of St. Matthew's M.B. Church. He was a vocational rehabilitation director for the state of Florida, and he served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was Episcopalian. He was a member and former officer of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 819. He received his associate's degree in electrical engineering from Newark College of Engineering. LINGO, ETHEL FAGAN, 85, of Dade City, died Monday (March 19, 2001) at Pasco Regional Medical Center. Born in St. Joseph, she was a longtime resident of Dade City. She was a retired inventory clerk employed by Lykes-Pasco for 25 years and a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. MARQUIS, JASON DANIEL, 25, of Silver Spring, Md., died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) at home in Silver Spring. Born in New Port Richey, he moved to Silver Spring two years ago. He was a registered nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C., for the last 18 months. He was a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville where he received his nursing degree. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Harriett; a daughter, Gail Grabowski, Peru, Ill.; and a sister, Theresa Giannetti, Chicago Heights, Ill. - CROSKEY, GUSSIE M., 65, of Clearwater, died Monday (March 19, 2001) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. She was born in Lake City, and came here in 1957 from Palatka. She worked as a housekeeper for a private family and was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church of Clearwater. - JACOBSEN, OLGA M., 73, of Clearwater, died Sunday (March 18, 2001) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here in 1986 from Paramus, N.J., where she was a registered nurse and worked for Bergen Pine County Hospital. She graduated from Norwegian Hospital School of Nursing in New York City and was a member of the Sons of Norway. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Stephen Ministries Largo, and a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodcliff Lake, N.J. She was a volunteer for Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and a member of the Alzheimer's Support Group. He was an organist and played at many churches, including 18 years at Orange Lake Interdenominational Church, Largo. - OWENS, HARRY H., 79, of Safety Harbor, died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) at Mease Dunedin Hospital. He came here in 1987 from his native Indiana, Pa., where he retired after 27 years with the Indiana Police Department and had been police chief from 1959-1977. He was the mayor of Indiana from 1978-1982 and city council member from 1983-1987. Locally, he was a member of the Clearwater Police Department for 11 years and was a founding member in 1988 of the Police Aide Program. He was a past president of the Western Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association and member of Rhododendron Lodge 33 Fraternal Order of Police. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served from 1942-1950. - ANANIA, JOHN, 77, of Madeira Beach, died Tuesday (March 20, 2001) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. Born in Cinisi, Sicily, he came here in 1998 from Greenwood Lake, N.Y. He was a retired actor who was in the cast last January of Arsenic and Old Lace at the Largo Cultural Center. He made his Broadway debut in Victor Herbert's operetta, Sweethearts. He went on to appear with Lauren Bacall, Carol Channing, Julie Harris, Sid Caesar, Maureen O'Hara and other stars. Survivors include three sons, Philip D. Anania, Minneapolis, John J.
