BENT, EDWARD RUSSELL SR., 50, of Floral City, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (Oct. 25, 2000) at Tampa General Hospital. He was born in Ocala. He was a ranch farmer, a Vietnam veteran, and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his companion, Sandra Cox; a son, Edward Jr., Tampa; three daughters, Christina Wright and Angela M. BURKE, JOSEPH W., 89, of Beverly Hills, died Sunday (Oct. 29, 2000). Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he came here 18 years ago from Huntington, N.Y. HOWERTON, JOSEPH TRUITT, 81, of Inverness, died Tuesday (Oct. 31, 2000) at Citrus Health & Rehabilitation Center, Inverness. Born in Innisdale, Ind., he came here six years ago from Elwood, Ind. He was a repairman for Indiana Gas Co., retiring after 30 years of service, and was an avid fisherman. He was Army veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of the Elwood VFW Post 5782 and the American Legion, Frankton, Ind. Survivors include two sons, Thomas J., Lakeland, and Kenneth P., Inverness; a twin brother, Thomas S., Orlando; a sister, Wren Barton, Alexandria, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. ROBERTS, MAURITA KAY, 66, of Lake Panasoffkee, died Tuesday (Oct. 31, 2000). CADOW, EDWARD P., 71, of Belleair Bluffs, formerly of Tampa, died Sunday (Oct. 29, 2000) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. He was born in New York City and came here in 1965 from Cocoa Beach. He worked as a property manager for MSQ Properties, Tampa, and was a Marine veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and the church's LIFE TEEN and Small Church Community programs, Clearwater, the Sertoma Club of Tampa, an AIDS Buddy and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Petersburg. LISBY, EARL J., 93, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Oct. 30, 2000) in St. Petersburg. Born in Rome, Texas, he came to the area in 1944. KELLY, LT. COL. GLENN M., U.S. ARMY RET., 83, of Holiday, died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 2000) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Schenectady, N.Y., he came here 23 years ago from Aberdeen, Md. He retired in 1962 from Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., as a lieutenant colonel, serving in the Army for 25 years through World War II and the Korean War. He later retired in 1977 as manager of Darlington, Md., branch of the Equitable Trust Co., with 15 years of service. He was Protestant, former member of the Lions Club, Aberdeen, and member of the Tanglewood Mobile Village Condominium Association, Holiday, and the National Retired Officers Association. He was an electrical engineer in the aerospace division of Honeywell, in both Minnesota and St. Petersburg. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Living Word Church, New Port Richey, and the Civil Air Patrol, Minnesota. WAGNER, LYNN A., 58, of Umatilla, formerly of Hudson, and St. Petersburg, died Monday (Oct. 30, 2000). He moved to St. Petersburg in the 1960s from his native Chicago and moved to Lake County in 1983. He was Protestant. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was a Navy veteran. He was a Lake County sheriff's deputy for 18 years and, before that, was a sheriff's deputy in Pinellas and Pasco counties. She was born in Green Bay, Wis., and came here in 1949 from Youngstown, Ohio. She was a nurse and musician at the former Church of Religious Science in Pinellas Park. She was also active for many years in the Little Theater in Clearwater. She was known as "the Piano Lady" in Dunedin where she was a volunteer entertainer for many years at nursing homes and other charitable events. There are no known survivors. He was a banker for 45 years and retired in 1985 as senior vice president of First Gulf Beach Bank. He was named to the public relations panel of the Florida Bankers Association in 1971 and was elected in 1961 to the budget and finance committee of the South Pinellas Chapter, American Red Cross. - BURDICK, LAURA F. WOOLLEY, 87, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Oct. 30, 2000) at St. Anthony's Hospital. She came here in 1926 from her native Selma, Ala., and moved to Jacksonville in 1942 and returned to St. Petersburg in 1958. She was a 1932 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. She was a former employee of the St. Petersburg Better Business Bureau and later worked as a secretary at Westgate Elementary School. She was a 42-year member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, where she was a Sunday school teacher and worked with the girls auxiliary mission. She also was a member of the Knapp Prayer Group.
