The Salt Lake Ice Center played host to Short Track Speed Skating Wed. night as the men competed in the 1,000 meter heats. The first two finishers in each race qualify for the finals. The start of one of the heets with (L to R) Balazs Knoch, Hungary, Steven Bradbury, Australia, Nicola Rodigari, Italy and Pieter Gysel, Belgium.
